Maritime
MJ Civil are a preferred design consultant for the NSW Roads and Maritime Services and therefore undertake a number projects relating to Maritime structures. We also provide structural maritime services for the public and are often involved with new build and remedial works to private jetties and wharves.
If you have a waterfront and it is a common strata area or accessed by the general public you may be subject to personal injury claims. Often structural defects within these structures are disregarded, or there is an extended period of time between each use, and issues that may eventuate due to the harsh environment may go unnoticed.
Due to the nature of the environment, we recommend maritime structures are regularly inspected to confirm their structural integrity. MJ Civil can offer clients a full inspection and evaluation of any maritime structure, anything from a simple floating pontoon to a more complex boat shed or marina development.
Access to structures by water only is not a problem and underwater inspections to a depth of 10m is also a service offered by MJ Civil.
