As the requirement for high quality of lighting for sport venues has become more common place in stadiums, sporting clubs and schools the lighting industry have developed lighting systems that provide greater coverage from a single mounting location. A consequence of this lighting evolution is that the luminaire mount points are becoming higher to enable a greater spread of light offer by these new lighting systems. As the requirements for mount points get higher, the complexity surrounding the pole design pole and footing requirements also increase.

As every venue has differing mounting requirements in addition to varying wind exposure and ground conditions, the design of each footing and mounting post will be tailored to that specific site.
